Oliver Rolf Kahn, born 15 June 1969 in Karlsruhe (Germany), is one of the best Goalkeepers in the History. He was voted 7 times Best Goalkeeper in the German Bundesliga , 4 times Best UEFA Goalkeeper between 1994 and 2002, was the only Goalkeeper in the FIFA World Cup tournament history to win the Golden Ball (2002) , took the third place in the BALLON D’OR 2001 and 2002 (only the Goalkeepers Yachine and Neuer were also in the Top 3 in the history) and was crowned 3 times THE WORLD’S BEST GOALKEEPER by IFFHS in 1999, 2001 and 2002 !

Oliver Kahn started his career in Karlsruhe where he was born. From the junior team in 1975 to his debut in professional squad in 1987, he took step by step the way to the high level. In Karlsruhe, he played 3 years mit the second team and won all competitions, before joining the A team in the Bundesliga. He played there 128 matches from 1987 to 1994 and was then transferred to the FC Bayern München in 1994, where he played until the end of his career in 2008. With FC Bayern, Oliver Kahn played 429 matches and won 22 great Trophies, 8 titles in the Bundesliga (96/97, 98/99, 99/2000, 2000/01, 2002/03, 2004/05, 2005/06, 2007/08), 6 German Cups (97/98, 99/2000, 2002/03, 2004/05, 2005/06, 2007/08), 5 German LigaCups (1997, 1998, 2000, 2004, 2007), one UEFA Champions League 2000/01, one UEFA Cup 1995/96 and one Intercontinental Cup 2001 !

From 1994 to 2006, he was part of German National team. He won with the squad the UEFA European Championship 1996 and took the second place in the FIFA World Cup 2002, the third place in the FIFA World Cup 2006 and the FIFA Confederations Cup 2005. He played 86 matches with Germany’s National team .


He stopped his career in 2008, becoming the all time clean sheet leader in the history of the Bundesliga with 197 (in 535 matches). He made after his career in business and TV consultant before maybe in the next months, to go back to his club FC Bayern München with a new project …
